• Tonight I’ll be at the SCSers Convention Dinner. One of the highlights of the SCSers dinner is the FABULOUS swaps we get there!!

My swap for tonight’s dinner is another Sneak Peek. I used some of the new In Colors again, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss. The stamp set is a new one called Party Hearty. I stamped the top of the cup cake in Baja Breeze and added some Dazzling Diamonds for a little sparkle.

  • Hi Everyone!! I have to take a quick personal moment to Thank everyone for being patient with me and the lack of blog posts over the past couple of months while Mom has been healing from her surgery. For everyone who has been asking … Mom is doing good, she’s healing slowly and still isn’t allowed to do much, she’s a little tired of being home so much, but she is getting better!! Thanks to everyone who has sent Get Well cards – a hand stamped card is always a day brightener!! Ok personal moment over!! 🙂

I’m getting ready to head to Salt Lake City for Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention in a few days and I have LOTS of fun posts and projects to share with you while I’m gone!! But before we get swept away in convention excitement and new product fever I wanted to share some of Create Ink’s favorite things from the Spring / Summer idea book. At my last team meeting our swap assignment was to use some of our favorite retiring items one last time. Our favorite stamp set or 07 In Color.

My swap card was this fast and simple card using the retiring Hostess Set For a Friend. This was one of my favorite sets in the catalog – one of the first sets I earned free!

  • One of the items that was included in my team gift bags is a Snail Leash. If you’re anything like me you’re forever loosing your Adhesive under a pile of paper on the table when your crafting! The Snail Leash is the perfect solution!!

    IMG_8245

The Snail Leash is so simple to make. You simply take one fo those badge holder reels and decorate them. I used the Scallop Circle punch as a base, added a layer of the new Riding Hood Red designer series paper and a Baja Breeze Button. Then you attach it to the Badge reel with a Glue Dot.

I removed the plastic clip part from the badge holder. To attach it to your SNAIL you just remove the cover, and then catch the plastic end in the snail and clip your cover back on.

Do you have a great solution for keeping your crafting essentials handy?? If you do leave a comment on this post and share your ideas with us!

  • ‘m on the plane headed to Salt Lake City and it’s time to start showing off all the fun goodies I created for the event!!

My team gift this year had a theme – cute little bags!! To wrap the gifts up I created a fun bag box using some of the new Designer Series Paper that I was able to order as a sneak peek! The bag box was super fast and easy to make and they are TOO cute for words!! I think we’ll be making these at a stamp camp soon!!

    IMG_8252

These bag boxes feature some of the new In Colors! I LOVE them!

I filled these packages with a few New Catalog Essentials, some snacks, a Snail Leash (I’ll tell you more about this later today) and a little bag to hold their SNAIL and scissors.

I found these ADORABLE Cosmo Bags at Suzi Homemaker’s website. You can check our all her fun items at www.suzihomemaker.net.

Suzi worked with me to personalize each bad and add our Team Logo to them! These bags are so bright and fun and Suzi was a delight to work with. The bags are the perfect size to hold the stamp essentials: Snail Adhesive, Scissors, a few markers, and even an ink pad if you want. Here’s a close up look at the great embroidering on the bags.

I’m thinking about having some of these bags made up with my Inkredible Stamping Logo for my end of  year club gifts?? What do you think? If you would like your own personalized Inkredible Stamper Cosmo bag e-mail me or leave a comment on this post to let me know your interested!

  • The July 4th weekend is just around the corner. The family picnics, evening celebrations, and of course fireworks all make for GREAT scrapbooking pages. I know shooting pictures at night can be a very scary thing! 🙂 But if you try it out you’ll usually end up with some really fun pictures.

One of my favorite pictures to scrapbook is the kids playing with sparklers – Don’t worry, let the picture blur – take a lot and you’ll usually end up with one that’s very fun – blurs and all.

Starting today you can order from Stampin’ Up!’s new product line Décor Elements. The Décor Elements product line is self-adhesive vinyl art for walls, mirrors, windows, or other hard, smooth surfaces. It is an extension of the Definitely Decorative home décor line, which is another way to express your creativity–just on a larger canvas than a card or scrapbook page! Décor Elements takes that same idea and uses a different medium to accomplish the same mission, making your home a beautiful representation of your style. And it’s inexpensive compared to painting, framing art, or buying new furniture!

The elements are simple and fun to apply – Check out This Video to see how to apply the Vinyl Art to your walls then e-mail me and place an order today.

  • Bright colors seem to be the theme lately. I'm not usually a Brights person. But brights are very in and trendy right now, they're everywhere! Home Decor', Clothes, and yes Paper Crafting and I'm loving them right now!!

At our team meeting earlier this month Serena brought the Make 'n Take. She prepared this fun bright birthday card for us.

    Julie33

We used Happy Happy Birthday, Short and Sweet,  and Hugs and Wishesstamp sets for this card. The little cupcake is cut out and "popped" with a Stampin' Dimensional. But my favorite part of this card is the inside. I usually skip photographing the inside of my cards, since they are usually straight forward – a simple greeting stamped inside. But I LOVE the way Serena carried the fun bright elements on this card into the inside…

    Julie32

We added a little glitter to the candle flame and also to make sprinkles on the cupcake icing. The Top of the cupcake is attached with a dimensional.

  • I know I've been away from my blogging a lot lately. I have not had a lot of time online – summers are busy! But I have been creating and I have stuff to share!! I'll work on getting it all online to share!!

Last week we had our team meeting. Our swap this month was a little different. We had a color challenge. I challenged everyone to use Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal, Tempting Turquoise, and Green Galore on a card. I found a Fun Bright room idea online at Pier One and just knew it had card potential. Here's our inspiration for this month's swap.

Don't you wish your craft room could look like this?? The card that I created for the swap uses the Enjoy Every Moment Stamp Set.

    JulIMG_8208 copy

My favorite part of the inspiration picture was the apricot and pumpkin stripes on the walls. I wanted to recreate that look on my card so I used the Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and colored the white areas in with my Apricot Appeal Stampin' Write Marker. I LOVE the way it turned out. You only have to color one side, the ink will bleed through, and I actually found the side with the bleed through to be the prettier side after you color on ribbon! Here's a close up look at the colored ribbon.

That's it for now but keep an eye out! I'll be posting the rest of the team swaps very soon!!
