You're not seeing things in that picture – those are our Fabulous Stampin' Write Markers in this year's new In Colors! I am SO thrilled that I don't have to make my own markers this year with Blender Pens and Reinker!!

IMG_9690_1 And Peeking out at you in the background is just about my favorite ribbon ever!! This great Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon will be available in all the new In Colors as well. It's Polka Dot on one side and solid on the other so you get 2 ribbon choices in one ribbon.

  • I LOVE circles! I love that circles are trendy right now! At our AprilCreate, Ink! team meeting we created a Circle Mini Album for our Make 'n Take. It was a great way to help us all get in the mood for May's National Scrapbook Month! It was a FUN project – and it would actually make a great card idea too.

    IMG_9625

This is the album closed and tied shut. To create the album we used:

    • Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper
    • Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Summer Sun card stock
    • Oval All Stamp Set
    • Large and Wide Oval Punches
    • Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon
    • Assorted Punches and Embellishments to decorate the inside

You simply untie the album and flip it open.

    IMG_9629

Then you can Tie the bow again to keep it open. It can sit our on a desk or coffee table. This is a GREAT little album to make and send to friends or family members. It's a Great little brag book for Grandma!

Here's a couple of looks at the inside – I have not put my pictures in yet. But there are many places to add the pictures – You can add them in the triangle areas on the bottom or punch circles or squares and add them to the sides that are standing up!

    IMG_9638

    IMG_9635

We had a BLAST making these at our meeting – It was the first time most of us were making a Circle Album and it was so funny getting to watch all of us "experts" get to be the students!

  • Why do I love SU? There are so many reasons I can't count them, but one of the #1 reasons is Shelli. You can't help but feel loved and inspired when you're in her presence. I'm always thrilled to find out she'll be at a regional training siminar that I'm attending.

Here's a great video I found that'll give you a chance to get to know get to know Shelli Gradner, cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up! She is sharing her story on KSL Stuido 5 with hosts Brooke Walker and Darin Adams.

Why do you love SU? Post a comment and let me know what your favorite things are!

  • Mom love to make homemade dog and cat treats. This weekend she was working on making up some treats for my cousin's dogs. She decided to make "Don't Eat My Shoes" treats. In other words – Treats shaped like Shoes to keep your puppy happy and out of your closet! 🙂

    IMG_9624

These treats smelled yummy cooking (not all dog treats smell that great to us humans!). They are made with Molasses's and smell like gingerbread as they bake…

She cut out some regular bone shapes for smaller treats and wanted me to come up with something fun to put them in. I decided to make a Treat Jar. I had some Brown Decor Elements Flowers left over from a club project so I randomly applies them to a Cookie Jar.

    IMG_9620

I finished the jar off with a little Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon and a Bone that says treats. Remember the bone template we made at the punch art class with a word window and a couple of hearts? I just used that same template to trace and cut out two bones. Then I sandwiched a piece of Linen Thread in between them and tied it onto the ribbon.

The Flowers add a fun funky feel to the jar. When the Dog Treats are gone my cousin want wash out the jar and use if for "People Treats" (Umm Cookies) if she wants or re-use it for the Dogs!

A close up look at one of the flowers:
