• We had a Container Store gift cards from Grandma (Thanks Grandma!!) and I was anxious to see what I could find to get my Stampin' Stuff organized! Actually the gift card was given to my brother and he wanted some cash for a trip he has coming up so I bought it off of him – I'm such a good sister!!

I've been looking high and low for something to keep my Bigz XL dies stored in so they're easy to pull off and on the shelf and I think I finally found the answer.

    IMG_1173

I found these Wire Mesh DVD Boxes that are a perfect size for the dies.
You can actually get about 8 or 9 dies into one of the mesh containers
but they get a little heavy and hard to pull out if you fill them all
the way, so for now I'm storing about 6 in a DVD box. We'll see how
    that goes.

    Juldvd1

Another plus – our new Clear Mount Stamps come in a DVD size case so they also fit well in these. I picked out a couple of extras and I have two of them stacked next to my work space. I plan to keep the more seasonally current stamp sets in those boxes so they're easily at hand.

What's that?? Clear Mount Rubber Stamps?? Don't know what I'm talking about? Check this out…

  • I had lots of fabric scraps leftover from creating my Rag Quilt Bags so I decided to decorate my Christmas packages with Quilted Flowers.

    IMG_0751

The flowers are very easy to make. I used the two middle size flowers from Stampin' Up! Flower Folds Die for the flowers and the Small Scallop Circle from the Scallop Circles #2 Die for the flower centers.

You simply Sandwich a die cut piece of batting between two pieces of die cut fabric and stitch around them with the sewing machine. Over time Then'll fray and rag up at the edges just like the bags! I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch a hold in the center of each flower, tied a knot in a piece of ribbon and then threaded the flowers onto the ribbon. Tie another knot in the back to hold everything in place and you're ready to decorate your packages.

For the Quilt Purses I made sure the flower matched the bag so they could tie the flowers on them.

    IMG_0942

This is my Christmas Bag – I decided since I made so many bags for gifts I needed to have one for myself too! 🙂

The flowers looked great on the white boxes but I also created some for presents wrapped in Gold and Silver

  • Every year I do Grandma's Christmas shopping for her. I go over to her house with the wish lists from the Grand babies in the family and we talk over what she wants to get for each of them. This year we when got to the girls we decided it would be fun for Grandma to share her stampin' love with them! We were told Little Laura was into Crafty things (a girl after my own heart) and I had seen an idea online to create a "Make Your Own Stationary Kit" so that what do did for her.

I know the girls are not reading this so it's ok to post 🙂 … but Mom's if you're reading – be surprised on Christmas!!

    IMG_1067

We decorated a pink tin with a Decor Elements Flower. Then we filled the bucket with

    • Note Cards with Envelopes
    • Pixie Pink Classic Ink
    • Stampin' Around Handle with Pixie Pink ink
    • Always in Bloom Wheel
    • and A Personalized Princess Stamp

I created one sample card and included it so she had one idea to spark her creativity. With a little help from Mom to remove the cover and slide the wheel ink into place and open her ink pad she's ready to stamp!

After we put together Laura's kit we though it would be fun to create a similar kit for Brittany. She's a little older than Laura so we came up with this idea…

    IMG_1065

We decorated the same Pink Tin with a Decor Elements flower and for Brittany we included

    • Basic Black Classic Ink
    • Friends Rock Stamp Set
    • Love Bug Stamp Set
    • Bright Colors of Sticky Notes

Again I stamped a few samples to get her started. She can stamp with the ink onto the Sticky notes and she's ready to leave a note to her friends!

I choose stamp sets that she can also stamp on white and color in with markers or colored pencils if she wants to make note cards as well.

Here's her gift all packed up…

    IMG_1064

This gift idea would also be great for Birthday or Easter. How fun would it be to put together an Easter Basket out of these kits? E-mail me if you would like help creating a stamping kit gift for your Little Princess.

  • Today was the last Inkredible Stampers' Club Stamp Camp of the year. I always give out a gift at the December get together to thank all my loyal club members who show up month after month to play stampin' with me!

As most of my club people know I ALWAYS forget the little trash bins for the tables. So there we all sit working on our projects piling our scraps up in the center of the table and then we gather them up and carry them to the big trash can when the pile gets a little too much. So this year I though – "Wouldn't it be nice if I could find a little scrap bin that they could each carry flat in their club binders so we all have something to toss our scraps in at the table even when I do forget the Trash bins" – which like I said is ALWAYS! 🙂

Remember the purses I made for my Create, Ink! team members from yesterday's post? Well I was looking at the bags thinking – "If I could make a little one by one cube and some how make it lay flat when it's not being used that would be PERFECT for them"

I did some playing and tried out several ideas that I had… and come up with this prototype:

    IMG_0834

Isn't it too cute?? It twist to fold flat and you can tie the ribbon around it to hold it shut to slide it into your Club Binder or craft bag.

I didn't want to use only Real Red ribbon – SU has so many fun colors – so I made their bags all Black and White and then put different colors of ribbon in to tie them shut…

    IMG_0825

They are so cute closed up. they look like little packages.

You can purchase your own Scallop Square Bigz Die in My online store and while you're there be sure to check out all the great Big Shot Dies and Accessories on sale during the 12 Days of Holiday Sale.

  • The second I saw this fabulous idea I knew it would make a GREAT team gift for my girls this year. A sewer I am not but (with a little help from mom) 🙂 These bags were very simple to make… A Big thanks to Demonstrator Angie Juda who shared this ideas on her blog and even created a video tutorial, which you can find here.

    IMG_0712-edit

The squares for these bags are cut out using the Scallop Square BigZ die – giving you perfect squares and a fun edge quickly and easily.

    IMG_0706-edit

I think this black and white purse is one of my favorites! 🙂

    IMG_0736-edit

Who am I kidding I LOVE them all. Is it wrong that I wanted to keep every bag for myself instead of giving them as gifts?? 🙂 I really don't need that many purses…

The handles for this bag were a little more challenging – but my brother came to my rescue and made them for me. I think if I make more I will try using Stampin' Up! Ribbon instead. The wide striped ribbon would make a great handle!

Here's a little more eye candy for you – each of the bags hanging so you can see the handles – which add a fun contrast to the bags!

  • I've been working on making Invites and Favors for a Wine and Cheese wedding shower for my cousin. We had the shower last weekend so I can share the projects with all of you now.

    IMG_0612

We choose a fun color scheme: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, and a little Always Artichoke.

    IMG_0570

For the favor boxes I created these cute little baskets. The baskets are made using the Basket and Blooms BigzXL die. I trimmed off the tab and scored the front on each side at about 3/4" and put them together to form the boxes. I got the idea from another SU demo – Angie Juda and she has a great video tutorial for putting these together.

Here is a look at the other colors we made the baskets in…

    IMG_0573

I stamped the box and the background of the tag using the Note to Self stamp set. The wine glasses on the tag came from an old set, Along the Same Lines.

    IMG_0620

We made Wine glass charms and tied them to the outside of the box. The inside of the box is filled with a small cello bag and we found fun Grape and Blackberry flavored candies from Jelly Belly to put in the cello bags. YUM!!

    IMG_0594

I also die cut a few Pillow Boxes and decorated them for Door Prizes. I love my Big Shot – it made getting ready for this shower go SO fast! 🙂
