• I got a card in the mail today from my Big Sister! 🙂 It is just the most adorable card ever using one of my favorite new sets!! 🙂 I’ve been looking for a great halloween card to finish out my stamp camp projects for the end of this month.. And this one just may fit the bill!! Isn’t this card great?!

    Image0083

Thanks so much Big Sis!! Getting a card from you always brightens my day. 🙂 I can’t wait until it’s reveal month time and I get to find out who you are!! It’s so fun getting to know other demonstrators.

  • I forgot to post the pictures of my general swaps… so Here’s a look at my general swaps for anyone and everyone I could find in Denver!! :).

I made 100 cards – It was tons of fun punching all those scallops!! 🙂

    Image0076

I also made 100 3D swaps.. These are the quickest and funnest halloween candies I’ve ever made!! I used Life Savers lillipops are these simple steps…

    1. fold in all the extra wrapper on the lollipops and use packing tape to hold it down.
    2. Punch two punches out of scrap card stock using the scallop punch.
    3. Attach them to the suckers with Snail Adhesive.
    4. Stamp one of the images from "Batty for You" in two different colors.
    5. Punch one color out with the 1-1/4" circle punch.
    6. Punch the other color center out with the 1" circle punch. Attach to the other circle.
    7. Use Snail to attach this to the front scallop on your lollipop.
    8. Tie a ribbon around the base of the lillipop.

    Too much fun!!

  • Hi Everyone!!

I’m home from convention and I’m exhausted, but full of fun new ideas to share with you all in the upcoming months, and excited about some of the great changes Stampin’ Up! has in store of me and you this year!!

The theme of convention this year is Dream Big! Stampin’ Up! encourages us all to Dream Big and reach for the stars in our personal life and in our businesses. I think this is just about the best theme for the year that Stampin’ Up! has done. 🙂 SU really had made so many of my dreams come true! And a couple of Big Dreams came true at convention!

Each year at convention demonstrators are awarded for achieving certain goals. They are awarded with a March across the main stage. Since my first convention I’ve dreamed of getting to walk across the stage and this year that dream came true!! I achieved the first level of the Leadership Award (for helping my downline promote in their business). I won an extra Stamp Set, got an award pin, AND got to walk across the main stage! It was so much fun to stand up there are look past those bright lights to try to find my downline… which brings me to another dream .. but first a picture of me standing on stage!!

    Img_2939

One of my other dreams is to have a Stampin’ Up! family full of stampers who love to have fun together and share their passion for stamping! That dream comes true every time I add a new demonstrator to my team! But most of all I dreamed of traveling to Stampin’ Up! events with my team members and getting to watch them enjoy the fun and learn new things. For the first time this year I got to travel to convention with 4 of my team members and it was too much fun!! 🙂 I LOVED getting to spoil them a little with gifts and talk about all our Dreams for making our businesses bigger and better this year! I truly do have the best team ever!!! They spoil me a little too… The day I got to do my stage walk they surprised me with very creative fruit bouquet in my room!!! A VERY tasty surprise and just what I needed to perk up my energy again. Chocolate covered apples are YUMMY!!

    Img_3035

The last dream I’ll talk about today is the biggest!! I dream of helping everyone I meet be creative and achieve some of their own dreams Big or Small. Of course that dream comes true for me every day since I became a demonstrator!! Convention is always a big help with that dream since it fills me up with tons of new ideas and creative techniques! I have tons more to share with you over the next couple of days. I hope you enjoy reading about my convention experiences!! Feel free to share your dreams with me here or next time you see me.. and remember to always

    DREAM BIG!!

  • My Cards for the WOW Card Swap

Card 1 is a Triangle Tri Fold Card (We learned this technique at Club) –  I used the Zoofari Stamp Set. The colors in the card are Real Red, So Saffron, and Basic Black. I used More Mustard for the spots.

    Image0064

Card 2 is a Joy Fold Card – We made this same basic card at club, I just modified the colors a little to make it more Summery.

    Image0068

Card 3 is a Pajama Top Gift Card – I altered the size of the shirt template that Lisa used on her Father’s Day card. I used the half pearls from the Pretties Kit to create buttons on the shirt. The “tag” on the side of the pajama top is Double Stitched Soft Sky Ribbon. It’s attached to a Gift Card using Glue Dots. The Gift card slides into the shirt and you can pull the ribbon to get it out. If you want to learn this project at club let me know or leave a message on this post!

    Image0069

I do have a 4th card for this swap but I am missing the picture for that swap. You’ll get to see it at Club in August though. I’ll have all the swaps on display, including mine. So don’t forget to bring your cameras!!

  • My Projects for the Stamp Camp Wow Swap

Project 1 is the bag tag we made at a recent Stampers Club. Very fun to make, and will the new On Board Lots of Letters there are even more creative possibilities for this project. I can’t wait to try out some bag tags using the letters from this chipboard set.

    Image0081

Project 2 is a Name Badge made using the Bitty Book Scrapbook Pages. There are just like the Name Badges I made for the Stamp ‘n Scrap University. I changed up the colors and stamps since I wasn’t sure if the Stamp Set I used on the SSU one would still be in the catalog when I was making them. I REALLY like the way these turned out.

    Image0080

Project 3 is a Chipboard Picture Frame. I used the Brocade Background Designer Series Paper to cover Chipboard Coasters and made a hinges with punched card stock. I was hoping to add pictures to mine before I posted this, but I just ran out of time. You’ll see the project with pictures and all at the Stamp Camp in August.

    Image0082

    Image0070

Project 4 is a Mini File Folder Scrapbook. I choose a Halloween Theme and used the Creepy Crawley Designer Series Paper. I LOVE this paper, it’s such fun for Halloween Scrapbooking!! I’m looking forward to some great October scrapbook pages. The File Folder scrapbooks didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted, but I still think they’re a fun swap! Hope everyone likes them. This was my project that required the most work!!

  • My Cards for the Christmas Card Swap.

Card 1 uses the new Simple Snowman set. The Colors I used in the card are Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Bashful Blue, and Wild Wasabi. To create the Wild Wasabi Marker, I dipped a blender pen into reinker.

    Image0063

Card 2 uses Big on Christmas and the Christmas Chatter Jumbo Wheel. The Colors are Purely Pomegranate, Old Olive, and Bashful Blue. I used Crystal Effects on the ornament to give it shine and dimension, and a pop dot to lift it off the page.

    Image0073

  • I just finished putting the convention gifts for my Downline together. They are all packed and ready to go! So I though I would take a minute to share with all of you!! If you’re in my Downline and going to convention you’ve been warned J Read no father if you want to be surprised in Denver!

    For the rest of you…

As many of you know this year at convention the theme is Dream Big, and on the first night of convention Stampin’ Up! is having a Pajama Stamp-a-rama! We get to wear Pajamas and comfy slippers and stamp the night away! But I didn’t want to wear my slippers (since we all know my slippers are socks!!) out on the street. I found a great, purple of course, cinch sack to carry my slippers and other stuff in while I’m walking over to convention so I though what a great Downline gift. I went to a local embroidery shop and had them put my team logo onto each bag. Create, INK. Is the name of my team.

    Here’s the bag…

    Img_2732_2

So I put a few goodies in the bag also to get them started: Some On The Go Crystal Light so they can flavor their water bottles, A snack pack, Some soothing foot soak, and this cute little note book…

    Image0077

The idea for this notebook came from ChiChi (a friend I met at Leadership) I was so excited when she decided to add the directions for this project to the CD! J

The bags also each have a personalized bag tag on them so we all know who each bag belongs to. Here is Debbie’s…

    Image0078_2

And of course I couldn’t forget our littlest stamper. While I was at the embroidery shop I also had them add the team logo to some Burp Cloths I picked up at the baby store. I tucked them into Carrie’s bag so Sam has a little gift too, and of course it doesn’t hurt that his Mommy will be styling and sporting our team name when she’s holding him!! J

Happy Stampin’ & See You All When I Get Home!

    Julie Edmonds

  • For all of you who have been concerned about my hand (Thanks to everyone who have been so generous with all your offers of help and kind thoughts about my hurting hand) I have Good news!! 🙂 The Dr. finally decided that maybe he needed to do more than just tell me to take Advil. The swelling was not going down. So he had me come in and gave me a cortisone shot which will supposedly start making my hand feel better and I should be able to take notes without pain at conventions!!! Very good as that means it’ll be easier to bring home new ideas if I can actually write them down!! 🙂

The bad news though is that I have to wear a brace on my thumb whenever possible for the next month or two, and my hand hurts more then ever after the shot – but it’ll be worth it if I feel better for convention!! It did make finishing swaps a little tedious – I challenge any of you to stamp and color cards with your thumb sticking in the air!! 🙂 It’s FUN!! 🙂 But I did manage to "Drum Roll Please" finish all my swaps today!!! 🙂 YEAH!!! Oh an the Ugly of this message is not the swaps (I Hope!!)… it’s the BIG black and blue bruises at the bottom of my hand from the shot … yikes I hope they go away before my trip .. They just look well.. UGLY! 🙂

So I spent today finishing up the last of my swaps .. which was mostly the CDs for the CD swap. Here’s a look at the cd writing in process. The first stack is waiting to be written, the second waiting for the labels to be printed, and the last stack the finished. 🙂

    Img_2684

and here’s the finished product.. I can’t wait to swap at convention!!

    Image0074

I’ll be leaving Tuesday morning – I’m packing right now. But I’ll be posting my swap pictures while I’m gone. Along with lots of fun information from Denver!

  • I can’t believe I leave for Convention is 1 week!! Wow! I have so much to do and so little time to get it done in, but I KNOW it’s worth it. I’m going to come home with some great ideas.

So last Thrusday was the most fabulous Hapy Mail day and I’m just not getting to post about it!! First I received this cute card from my Secret Sister…

    Image0056

I also received a free preview stamp set from Rubber Stamping Fun. Who doesn’t love a day when you get free stamps in the mail! And it’s even better when those stamps are not even avaliable for purchase yet!! Anyway it’s a barcode type set and I’ve been having tons of fun adding "barcodes" to the back of my cards. Here’s a look at one.

    Image0317

So what’s been keeping me so busy that I couldn’t even post about my Happy Mail? Convention Swaps… I’m ALMOST done!! I just have to do my general swaps and a few finishing touches on the cd swaps. I took a picture of my swaps all packaged up getting ready for their plane ride. Don’t worry I’ll be posting individual pictures of all my swaps just before I leave for convention! Until then here’s a little teaser…
