• I have another Stamp Set for my Wish List Wednesday Post.

This set is perfect for some Copics style coloring! I love to color in my stamped images with the shaded copic style and this Stampin' Up! set is MADE to be colored in that style. It's a perfect set to create a special card for the super special people in your life! I'm looking forward to playing with it for the upcoming holidays – maybe even create some great scrapbook pages with these kids!

  • Hi Stampers,

It's time for another ColorLab color Challenge!

    ColorChallenge6

This week featured a mix of the old and the new. I simply fell in LOVE with this beautiful flower arrangement from Events by Emma with the red and purple flowers! So I had to throw some Almost Amethyst into the mix. If you don't have almost amethyst that's ok just pick another purple to mix with your red!

The colors for this challenge are:

Cherry Cobbler, Almost Amethyst, Old Olive, and Certainly Celery.

For inspiration, check out these creations by the My Create, Ink ColorLab Design Team Color Chemists, then go out and create something of your own!

  • Hi Stampers,

This week's wish list item is a little different. I usually feature items that are on my wish list but in truth 99% of my wish list consist of the AMAZING projects that are featured in the SU Idea Books and Minis. I see the fun things they feature and I want them! This ribbon wreath is just about my most favorite project featured in the whole Idea Book maybe ever! (Was that proper English?? I don't know it doesn't look right but I'm just so excited about this project I don't even care if I said that right!)

    RibbonWreath

The project is featured on page 190 of the 2010-11 Idea Book. It kicks off the ribbon section of the catty. (That's one of my favorite sections) This project is on my list and when I get one made up I'll share it with you all!

What's your favorite project featured in the Idea Book?? Leave me a comment and let me know.

  • Hi Stampers!

I have the template finished for the Pencil Shaped Card from earlier today!

I decided to include a few different sizes for this template. So in addition to the 6 x 2-1/2 card size you see here, I've included a Jumbo and a Small pencil. I though those sizes would be fun for scrapbook layouts and other paper craft projects!

  • Hi Stampers,

It's time for another ColorLab color Challenge!

    ColorChallenge5

This week I was inspired by a back to school theme for everyone who is busy saying goodbye to Summer and getting ready to send the kids back to school. What says school more than the classic Yellow #2 Pencil? How cute is this pencil vase??

The colors for this challenge are:

Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, and Real Red.

I was inspired by not only the colors but the pencil itself for this challenge, here's my card.

  • It's back to school time for most of the schools around here and that's what inspired me for this week's ColorLab color challenge!

    IMG_2224
Don't you think this would be a fabulous card to make a set of as a
teacher gift? I think my teachers out there would LOVE to send quick
little notes out in a card like this ๐Ÿ™‚

ColorChallenge5This was the inspiration I found for this week's color challenge. As soon as I saw it I knew I not only wanted to be inspired by the colors, I wanted to be inspired by the pencil and create a pencil card.

So I stared at a pencil for a long time! ๐Ÿ™‚ Then I pulled out my graph paper and started sketching, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out in the end!!

I know you're all going to be asking – I'm working right now on converting my sketched template into a printable template for you! I'll hopefully have it up in a day or two!

(ETA: The Template is now available for purchase – click here for info)

I'm thinking I might have to play come more with this template and come up with a colored pencil card for my artist friends

Here's the link to this Week's ColorLab Color Challenge – be sure to pop over there and check out the other sample projects and play along. Just use Inlinkz to add your link at the bottom of the post.

  • Today's wish list item is the Chalkboard Decor Elements – I love them all! There are Owls, Clouds, Labels, and so much more. Most of these are not that new, they've been out for a while… but what is new is the Curly Label and Simple Sign chalkboard and the calendar, notes, and chore charts that fit inside of them. When I saw these in the new Decor Elements catalog I got so excited! I'm looking for the perfect spot to put the notes and calendar and as soon as I have that spot picked out I'll be putting an order in!

    DecorElements

I'm thinking about putting the "Things to Do" sign up on our refrigerator. We currently have a white dry erase board up there to write our notes for the Grocery list and it's not very pretty – A fun decorated Decor Elements sign would be so much better on the fridge! ๐Ÿ™‚

To see all the chalkboard options in the Decor Elements line visit my Stampin' Up! Store and click on the Home Decor section. Then choose Vinyl Art, and Chalkboard. You'll see all the fabulous shapes and signs available.

  • Hi Stampers,

Thanks to all of you for playing along with our third color challenge! You all did a fabulous job. I had a hard time picking the top pick for this week but I kept coming back to the Birthday Bag created by Krystal! Great job on your bag – I love boy colored birthday stuff – always hard to come up with really good boy stuff!

  • Hi Stampers,

    Sundaysup5

    Our Challenge This Week is:

Certainly Celery, Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz

Our Surprise Me Sunday Challenges are based on randomly selected colors. I simply take the first Surprise Me color combo that came up on the ColorLab. This type of challenge stretches your imagination to put together colors you may not normally have put together. Sometimes you'll be surprised by how great colors will work together! Have fun and share your creations below:

  • Just after the Stampin' Up! convention this year I met up with my girls who went this year for some coffee and they got to show off some of their swaps and projects. It was tons of fun to talk about the things they learned at convention.

While I was there I snapped a few quick pictures of some of their swaps so I could remember the ideas. One of my favorite ideas they received as a swap was this fun way to organize your Stampin' Sponges.

    IMG_2143

You'll have to forgive me for the picture quality on these – I was taking quick snap shots and we didn't have fabulous light ๐Ÿ™‚ but at least you'll get the idea! I don't know who this swap came from but whoever it was thanks for sharing this fun idea!!

To keep track of which color was used for each sponge:

    • Cut the big Stampin' Sponge into pieces (I think to cut mine into 4 pieces)
    • Use the Round Tab Punch to punch out a piece of card stock the same color as the ink you're going to use.
    • Attach the Tab to the sponge using Glue Dots or a Staple.
    • Decorate the Tab (A cut out SU logo was used for this one but you could easily stamp and punch out decorations to make it pretty)

That's it you're ready to sponge – the tab makes a nice handle which will help to keep your fingers clean (a nice bonus) and you'll remember exactly which color you used on your sponge – no more mixing colors up!!

The Stampin' Sponges are $3.50 per package of three. If you cut the sponges into 4 segments you'll get 12 colors out of one package! and even more if you like to work with a smaller sponge – that's a GREAT deal!! Go check them out in the SU Store.
