  • Ok – I admit it – I have a problem with designer series paper. I LOVE to buy it – and then I just can't bring myself to use it – what if Some day I have the PERFECT project for that paper and I don't have it…. I know – like I don't know where to buy more right??

Ok so admitting you have a problem is the first step – I've been working on that for a couple of years now – and I'm happy to say I've made great improvement in actually using my designer series paper – and it's been great because I actually get to enjoy the paper on projects today instead of it hiding in my paper box down in the basement. But I still find every now and then that I have a hard time cutting into a REALLY fabulous piece of  paper…. Finally – along came the PERFECT solution! 🙂

Did you know with the My Digital Studio Downloads you can print out your own papers?? Even if you don't have the My Digital Studio program you can still purchase the papers and use them in your own photo editing programs. And if all you're creating is a sheet of background paper you can just open up your word processing program – insert the picture file and print away… Are you as excited as me yet??? WAIT there 's more – you can print out that DSP onto card stock when you want a stronger paper to create a box or book cover AND when you want stickers you can print out the DSP right onto your Sticker paper or labels. Now you have DSP that doesn't even need adhesive!! That's how I created the Nugget wrappers I made for our Stamp Camp Trick or Treating yesterday!

As I promoised I'm back to show you guys what I created for our Trick or Treat swap.

First up the Nuggest I was talking about.

    IMG_2527

These were so fun and simple to make I easily made up a whole bowl of them!

    IMG_2516

Mom was Trick or Treating too – and we needed a treat for her so I decided to make some Owls pearched on a stick of Sixlets.

    IMG_2513

These were another easy treat. I just made up some owls using our 2 Step Owl punch and then attached it to a stick of sixlets. Then I sandwiched a second owl body on the back to help them stand up.

Did you know you can punch an owl body our of Whisper White card stock, cut off his feet and turn him upside down, add some goodly eyes and create a Ghost?? Try it it's FUN!

I also offered up an extra Treat for my favorite swap of the day – so I made up a Mummy…

    IMG_2492

just wrap some Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon around an empty can. Attach some Circle Punches for Eyes and fill with candy – This would be a fun craft for the kids!! (Just make sure you're using cans or containers with no sharp edges if you're playing with the kiddos!)

Well that's about it – Halloween fun is over and it's time to start thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas!!

    IMG_2530

    Have a Happy Spooky Halloween!!

  • Hi Stampers!

My monthly stamp camp was yesterday. Since we were stamping the day before Halloween I decided it would be FUN to do a little Trick or Treating Stampin' Style. So I gave my stampers the option of joining in a little "treat" swap.

I always get to brag on my talented Stampin' Up Demonstrator team – but I don't get to brag nearly enough on my talented customers and all the FABULOUS stuff they come up with – so this was a GREAT excuse for me to get some good blogging time in to brag on them!!

Here's a look at some of the fun treats that were swapped at our Stamp Camp – I did my best to figure out who did each item – but if I got any of you wrong post a comment or give me a shout so I can fix it!! 🙂

Donna and Denise created these spooky treats

    IMG_2535

This cute little die cut ghost is hiding a chocolate goodie!! Too cute and so simple!! Those are my favorite kind of ideas!!

    Suzanne created this treat

    IMG_2538

This one was my favorite of the day for one reason – I'm a sucker for any set of witches feet out there – and the colors work great together – classic Halloween color combos!!

Here's a close up of the tag!

    Feet

Vickie filled these goodie bags with some yummy sweets, a chocolate spoon, and some crafty goodies as well!!

    IMG_2541

Priscilla used the Pillow Box die to cut out Halloween papers and make these cute boxes. She filled them Stampin' Treats – lots of fun little brads and goodies to play with – I'm not sure which is better Chocolate or Stampin' Goodies – that's a pretty close race in my book!! 🙂

    IMG_2547

Marie decorated up some mini boxes of Milk Duds (one of my favorite candies if you're keeping score!) Another super simple but big WOW way to make giving candy fun. She just wrapped them in some tissue paper and netting, tied with some ribbon, and decorated with stamps and punches!

    IMG_2548

Plus she used my little owl buddy on some of the treats! Hi Owl!!

    IMG_2558

Barb made a slider for gum – these are great to make up at Christmas time too – they're great for stocking stuffers!

And last but SO not least! Izzy made up some fun Thanksgiving treats to get us inspired for our next holiday! She had some candy and stampin' treats tucked inside the bag – punched some leaves out of the flap and tied with ribbon. This would be a really fun idea for "leftover" bags at thanksgiving. If you used a little larger lunch bag you could punch and stamp them – then after Thanksgiving dinner is over you could tuck everyone's wrapped up leftovers into the bags – tie'em up with some ribbon and send them on their way.

    IMG_2560

Whew – I think that's everything 🙂 and I think I may have broken my most photos in one post record w/this one.

I'll be back a little later today to post the Treats I made for out "Trick or Treating" so stayed tuned!
