Debbie took these boring flat black flip flops and made them FABULOUS! This was one of prizes we gave away at our Punch Art Garden class back in May. If you want to see more of the prizes we gave away visit my Facebook Page and check out the photo album for Punch Art Garden Prizes.
Don't these pretty Flip Flops just call out to your feet?? Here's a close up of the flower with the brad and bling in the center!
To Create These Flip Flops:
Debbie started with simple Black Flip Flops and some Black and White Fun Foam.
- Using the Flower Daisies #2 Die. Cut two of each size daisy from White Fun Foam and two of each size flower from Black Fun Foam.
- Stack the daisies together following this pattern: Large white daisy, large black daisy, medium white daisy, medium black daisy, small white daisy, small black daisy.
- Stack one of the larger brads from the Filigree Designer Brads on top of your flowers. Insert a Clear Rhinestone brad through the Filigree Brad and all the flowers. Open the prongs in the back to hold everything together.
- Turn the petals of the flower so they are off set and the white peeks through between the black on each layer. Then press your brad firmly down on a hard surface. This should tighten everything up and keep it all in place.
- Repeat Step 2-4 to create your second flower.
- Hot Glue the flowers onto the strap of your Flip Flops.
The Big Shot makes this such a quick and easy project – I'm looking forward to trying it out for myself. I have some flip flops in fun colors that I picked up on a $1 sale this spring and I'm going to play around with some other color combos and different dies.
