The second I saw this fabulous idea I knew it would make a GREAT team gift for my girls this year. A sewer I am not but (with a little help from mom) 🙂 These bags were very simple to make… A Big thanks to Demonstrator Angie Juda who shared this ideas on her blog and even created a video tutorial, which you can find here.
The squares for these bags are cut out using the Scallop Square BigZ die – giving you perfect squares and a fun edge quickly and easily.
I think this black and white purse is one of my favorites! 🙂
Who am I kidding I LOVE them all. Is it wrong that I wanted to keep every bag for myself instead of giving them as gifts?? 🙂 I really don't need that many purses…
The handles for this bag were a little more challenging – but my brother came to my rescue and made them for me. I think if I make more I will try using Stampin' Up! Ribbon instead. The wide striped ribbon would make a great handle!
Here's a little more eye candy for you – each of the bags hanging so you can see the handles – which add a fun contrast to the bags!
If you would like to see more information here on how you can use the Big Shot with fabric to make your sewing and quilting projects fun and easy e-mail me!
ETA: Due to many request Mom is now offering some of her totes for sale – click here to see more info.
