• Hi Stampers, If you've got a bin full of Scraps you just can't stand to toss out I've got a great card to share with you today!! I have a bin FULL of little bits of ribbon, card stock, designer series paper, and random embellishments, so I'm always looking for useful ways to make use of those items!

Stampin' Up! shared a few quick ideas with us in Stampin' Success (One of the perks of being a demonstrator is a quarterly magazine filled with inspiration!!) for using up our scraps. One of those ideas was punching our small circles and adding them to a card. This card was inspired from their idea!

If you don't know about the #imbringingbirthdays back movement yet – read all about it here

I love the Mint Macaroon and Wisteria Wonder together – such a soft card for a super cute little girl!!

If you were at Stamp Camp a few months ago you'll remember creating a very similar card – Our quick and simple Thank You card.

    IMG_3311-copy

There are endless possibilities for this card. Just Emboss with the Large Polka Dots Embossing Folder, punch out some circles from DSP to add to your card, and add a greeting!

Here's a few more fun ideas for using up those scraps:

    • Layer circles to make flowers
    • Make paper chains
    • Donate your scraps to schools
    • Shred for packaging
    • Create decoupage pieces
    • Use to make embellishments
    • Create collages
    • Frame and hang on the wall

Thanks for stopping by – come back again soon!

  • Hi Stampers. Today I'm sharing a couple of cards featuring the Diagonal Slash cut.

    IMG_3377

The Diagonal Slash is So easy! For a standard 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 card:

    • Choose a Designer Series Paper – cut to 4" x 4"
    • Use your Paper Trimmer to cut across the DSP square at an angel
    • Attach your two paper halves to your card front
    • Stamp a greeting in the open space you've created and decorate!

So easy and you get 9 cards out of 1 sheet of Designer Series Paper – and you've covered most of your card front with those pretty papers!

I made the first card for a demonstrator swap – I love swapping with other demonstrators for new card ideas! I used the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper with Painter's Palette stamp set. I had a lot of fun creating my framed "expression of love" to go along with the greeting.

If you want to draw a little extra attention to that greeting you can try adding a little strip of card stock around it – like I did on this one

    IMG_3426

There are endless possibilities with this cut. Here's another one we created at stamp camp last month featuring Sweet Sugarplum and Love and Affection stamp set.

  • Hi Stampers! Today I'm sharing a card using the Watercolor Block Background technique. This card was inspired by one created by Cindy Schuster. (Thanks for the inspiration Cindy!!) Pineapples are super Trendy right now – they're all over everything – clothes, decor, so why not your Paper Crafting projects!

    Pineapple

I used the new Pineapple stamp for the focal point on this card. I happened to be doing a little Psych binge watching last week while I was getting ready for Stamp Camp last week – so I kept having a little laugh at the find the pineapple moments as I was creating! If you're a fellow fan of the series you'll understand :). I used the Botanical Blooms stamp set of add a little tropical to the card and the Thoughtful Banners Bundle for the greeting.

    2016-05-25-19.09.32

The Watercolor Block technique was done of Shimmery White card stock – I love the sparkle it adds to the background! And a quick tip for creating the pineapple. I stamped a Pineapple once in Daffodil Delight ink and once in Old Olive ink. Cut the Old Olive Pineapple out. Then cut the Daffodil Delight pineapple out cutting the leaves off the top. Attach the two together and you're done. I found that method easier than using Markers to ink the stamps.

Thanks for stopping by! Come again soon.

  • Hi Stampers,

Stampin' Up! put out a call for demonstrators to apply to stamp samples for the Display Boards at On Stage coming up this Fall. I've always wanted to do that so I'm putting my application in!! We had to choose or create 3 cards, a scrapbook page, and two projects to show SU our Stampin' Chops! ๐Ÿ™‚ Some of these projects are new ones – Don't worry – I'll come back later and give you all the details on those in a future post! For now wish me luck on getting chosen!

For my Three Cards I played around with the Painter's Palette and Love and Affection stamp sets:

For my scrapbook page I again used Love & Affection stamp sets – with a little Project Life Boost left over from Saleabration

    MayScrapbook

And for my 3-D projects I decided to pull out two of my favorite creations! My Scarecrow Boxes and a Baby Gift Bag.

Thanks to Stampin' Up! for the opportunity and for considering me!! Hopefully I'll have tons of display board samples to share with you in November! ๐Ÿ™‚

And it's become a tradition for me to offer my Spiral Binding services to all of you as well!!!! So I've been a busy bee Spiral Binding the catalogs and sending them out!!

At Stamp, Snack, and Chat tomorrow (Saturday) we'll be making up these fun bookmarks with samples of the new In Colors

    InColorBookmarks

The but swoosh and splatter stamps are from a set in the new catalog called Painter's Palette.

If you want to make one of your own bookmarks you can download my file here. It creates 4 bookmarks.

    • Print it out on Whisper White card stock. (Make sure your settings say: Print at Full Size)
    • Cut 1/2" from the Top and Left Side
    • Cut The height of the paper to 7"
    • Cut at 2-1/2" for each bookmark.
    • Now Stamp and Decorate with the new In Colors!! You can follow along with my idea or use Stamps and Punches of your own to create a different look!!
