    Here's what the stamp set's illustrator, Lori Sume, has to say about her inspiration for the set:

    When I was a child growing up in Canada, I remember some family friends who had little chickens that I thought were so cute. A couple of summers ago here in Utah, I stopped at a friend’s ranch and saw all their cute animals including their chickens. They had typical chickens but also another kind called Polish Frizzle Bantam White Chickens. I think they are so funny with all those feathers flopping around on the top of their heads and how they like to stare straight at you and cock their heads.

    So when I was assigned to create the Hey, Chick Stamp Set, I was so excited. I wanted to exaggerate the rounder chickens and really make them round, and I also really wanted to draw one of those funny chickens I saw at my friend’s ranch. It was a really fun set to create.

  • CARD: Greetings From Santa

    Hi Stampers,

    Last weekend I held my annual Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack. This is hands down my favorite class all year – It's so much fun to plan the Hot Chocolate Bar, Christmas Cookies, and Decorations. It's also so fun to play around with Christmas Stamps and look for inspiring card ideas to CASE!!

    Here's two of the cards we stamped at the class – Both use the Greetings From Santa stamp set. Clear Mount Stamps or Wood Mount Stamps (This set is on sale this month – 25% off)

    You can't really see from the picture but we used Shimmer card stock to add some sparkle behind the Detailed Santa Thinlits die cut.

    I love the Garden Green and Pool Party combo for this card – classic Christmas but not too traditional!

  • SNEAK PEEK: Urban Underground

    Hi Stampers,

    Today I have another Sneak Peek of the 2017 Occasions Catalog. These are some more projects that I created for the Display board at On Stage.

    The Urban District stamp set is Perfect for Father's Day cards!!
    But I also took advantage of the "A" in the stamp set to create this fun Gift Bag.

    How much do you LOVE the texture on that bag?? That's a new Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder – I love the Hexagons. I put them to good use on these next two cards as well.

    And yes this set does coordinate well with the Build It Framelits Dies. As with the others – I'll be back with full recipes and more details on these project when the catalog comes out in January. Come back again soon!

     

     

     

  • CARD: Merry Wishes

    Hi Stampers,

    The Merry Wishes stamp set and coordinating Merry Tags framelits dies make quick and elegant Christmas Cards.

    I created two options featuring this set for my On Stage card swaps.

    I used the Pine Bough embossing folder for the background on the cards. The first card is done in Emerald Envy with a Christmas Tree ornament.

    For the second version I choose Dapper Denim and Gold Foil paper. I used the White Shimmer paper for the ornaments on both cards to add a little extra sparkle. The cards go together quick and easy but create a fabulous Holiday Wow!

  • SNEAK PEEK: Cool Surprise, Cool Treats

    Hi Stampers,

    Today is my Birthday – The VERY big 40! (Ugh!!) Over the weekend during On Stage I got one of the best Birthday Surprises ever! Shannon West (Originator of the #imbringingbrithdaysback movement) from Stampin' Up! selected someone at each On Stage location to have their Birthday card hand delivered – and I was the LUCKY Girl at the Kansas City event!!

  • SNEAK PEEK: Nailed It!

    Hi Stampers,

    I just got to preview the FABULOUS Occasions Catalog (coming in January) over the weekend at Stampin' Up's On Stage event!! It is FILLED with fabulous new stamps and products. As an added bonus I was honored to be chosen as one of the demonstrators to stamp samples for the Display Boards at the event. So I've been quiet for a while because I've been hard at work stamping projects I couldn't share!!

    Today I get to start giving you a peek at what I've been working on!! First up is the Nailed It! stamp set.

    The very first idea that came to mind when I saw the ADORABLE tools in this set was a Tool Box card and Curvy Keepsake Gift Box. My Dad is a tool guy, so this is a perfect Father's Day set for him!

    Of course for me this set works for Mom as well – so I also made up a Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise version.

    And a little bird (A new Demonstrator friend) told me about her Glittery Pink Pirouette tools – so I HAVE to try that out next!!

  • Personalized Bone Folders

    Hi Stampers,

    I just got home from a FABULOUS weekend in Kansas City, MO. I was there with with Stampin' Up! team for a SU training event – On Stage. The event was filled with TONS of inspiration – and we got our very first peek at the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure that are coming out in January. On my goodness they are filled with SO many cute thinks!!! I'll be able to share a few sneak peeks with you soon!!!

    While you're waiting for those peeks – I've got a fun project to share with you. I always take a small gift to SU events for my team members. This year I personalized Stampin' Up! Bone Folders for each of them. They're engraved with their names!! It makes it so easy to keep track of your folder! 🙂

    I made up a small holder for the bone folder and add a stamped Butterfly, some Gold Ribbon, and a few rhinestones – you can never have enough bling! 🙂

    And I had to make up one of my own as well!! But I added a little extra bonus for mine – I included my Inkredible Stamping logo.
