• Hi Stampers,

Today I'm sharing My Project for August's Craft Project Central.. You can get the instructions for my project by subscribing to August!

It’s amazing what we can create simply by rolling up a little Designer Series Paper. Quilling is a fun technique and these Quilled Aster Flowers are a fun and simple take on rolled paper. They’re also a great way to cheer up a sick friend. Paired with the whimsical “get well” card they’ll brighten anyone’s day and last a LOT longer than real flowers!

    QuilledAsterFlowerswithGetWellCard

I used the Turtle & Co. stamp set (See it Online) for this card. Turtle & Co. is this year's Ronald McDonald House stamp set – Each year, Stampin up designs an exclusive stamp set to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC©). When you purchase this year’s Turtle & Co. Set, they will donate $3 to RMHC.

This set is too cute for words!! Jump over to my online store to order yours today and together, we can all make a difference!

  • I made a Stampin' Up! New Year's resolution last month to do a better job of taking pictures of my workshop cards to share on line with all of you – I always seem to forget to get my workshop card pictures taken – my copies get a little beat up traveling to workshops and by the time I remember they're not really looking happy enough for photos! 🙂

We'll see how long this resolution lasts – but i DID get pictures taken of my July workshop cards – so I get to share them with you this month!

This card was a special request by one of my hostesses – she wanted to learn a little more about watercoloring and shadeing images at her workshop so I came up with this fun simple card as a make 'n take for the workshop.

We used the Touch of Kindness Stamp Set (See it Online), and used the Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Painter to color in the kitty. Here's the full supplies list…

    • Touch of Kindness Stamp Set
    • Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, and Whisper White card stock
    • Watercolor Paper
    • Jet Black StazOn
    • Watercolor Crayons and Aqua Painter
    • Scallop Trim Punch
    • Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

Is there something special you would like to learn?? I would love to create a workshop just for you – e-mail me to set something up!

  • Gift cards are such a popular gift and this pretty Book and Box make the gift EXTRA special!

  • Hi Stampers,

CPCSketch2 There's a new Creating Pretty Cards Sketch over on Craft Project Central. This month I created a simple sketch that can be a square card or a rectangle card – with a little flair added at the top and bottom of the image by way of paper punches.

Each month CPC host a Sketch Challenge and everyone who enters a card in the sketch gets a chance to win a $50.00 Stampin' Up! Shopping Spree. So run over to the website and play along this month!

Click Here to view all the details for this Challenge.

I can't wait to see what you create!

This month for the inspiration card I decided to play with one of my favorite new sets!

    IMG_4124

I'm simply in LOVE with Button Buddies stamp set (See It Online). I used Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo because of course I was playing with a piggy so pink was an easy choice. Then I decided to throw a little Peach Parfait in the mix for a pop of color. I never though I would get on board with the Pink and Orange color combos that are so popular but it's really starting to grow on me now!

Does that ever happen to any of you?? You see a color combo trend and think "I'll NEVER put those colors together" and then a little time goes by and suddenly you realize you're using those colors together all the time…

I would love to hear about the color combos you love to hate – leave me a comment on this post to tell me about them! 🙂
