  • Hi Stampers,

This year I’ve been doing some smaller Christmas Card clasess – I LOVE my big Christmas Card Class (coming up next weekend) but it’s also fun to get together with just a few people at a Hostesses house and work on some cards!

The most popular class I’ve been doing is a MDS Hybrid Card Class – I’ve been showing everyone how they can order printed cards from SU, cut them apart and get two cards for the price of one!!

This is my favorite card from the class…

    IMG_6784
I used the Twinkling Joy Greeting Card Template for this card. I copied the front design so it was also on the inside right of the greeting card and had them printed. Then when you get them in you cut them apart, mount on card stock, add a little ribbon and some Dazzling Details so those lights really twinkle…

    IMG_6787
Sparkle never shows up nearly enough in the photos – It’s always so much prettier in person!!

I also created a Cherry Cobbler adn Gumball Green version of this card along with 3 other designs for 5 different ideas, which I’ll be sharing with you in some future posts!

And now for those of you who can’t make it to one of my classes I’m offering a MDS Hybrid Christmas Card Class in the Mail Option!! Pre-Ordering Starts today and ends November 12th. Then I’ll get started on cutting and getting all the kits out in the mail to all of you!!

Debbie made a fun card using one of my favorite dies in the Holiday catalog – Snow Flurry (127813

I have more of the fun swaps shared on my Facebook Page so come on over and visit me there!

  • Hi Stampers,

Today I'm sharing the Swap that Lisa brought to our team meeting last weekend. She decided to make a treat instead of a card (no one's complaining when we get a Chocolate bonus with our swaps!!)

    IMG_6883

Some of you will remember the Card Holders I made for last year's Christmas Card Workshop. Lisa used that idea and scaled it down to make a small favor sized holder for some Chocolate! She used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (see it online) and the Ghoulish Googlies Bundle (see it online) to create these.

Come back soon – I'll be shareing more of my teams swaps!!

  •

    Hi Stampers!

This past weekend I got together with myCreate, Ink Stampers team. Our theme for swapping was any of the upcoming Holidays. You can tell we all have Christmas on our minds 🙂 that's what most of us choose to do!!

This is the card I came up with for the swap. It's an idea I've had floating around in my head for a while – I'm really excited about how this one came out!! 🙂 It's so fun and bright!!

    IMG_6856

On was originally planning to use the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon on the card – but after I put the first one together I though it needed just a little more color Pop. What do you think?? Which one do you like better??

  • Stampin' Up! Holiday Ornament

       Q&A

Q: I love the ornament featured on the front of the Holiday catalog. How do I make it?

    Stampin' Up! Adhesive Options

A: That ornament is all the rage in the stampin’ world! This month, you can receive the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack with our Christmas Gift Promotion.

You’ll be surprised that you can create such a beautiful ornament from paper. It takes a bit of time, but is actually pretty simple to do. And it makes a great gift.

    Here’s how!

    SUPPLIES:
    • Ornament Keepsake stamp set (#128048 wood, #128051 clear)
    • Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies (#127816)
    • Big Shot (#113439)
    • Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad (#126966)
    • Old Olive Classic Ink Pad (#126953)
    • Very Vanilla card stock (#101650)
    • Simply Scored Scoring Tool (#122334)
    • 1-3/8” Circle Punch (#119860)
    • 3-1/2” Scalloped Tulle Ribbon (#127841)
    • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755)
    • Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons (#127555)
    • Large Pearl Basic Jewels (#125577)
    • Linen Thread (#104199)
    • 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon or other ribbon for hanging ornament
    • Rosette Die (#125594)
    • Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper (#126901)
    • Silicone Craft Sheet (#127853)
    • Bone Folder (#102300)
    • Hot Glue Gun and Glue

    Stampin' Up! Adhesive Options
Step 1: Stamp 20 of the larger ornament images on Very Vanilla card stock with Old Olive ink. Cut out with the coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die using the Big Shot. Stamp 20 of the small ornament images on Very Vanilla card stock with Cherry Cobbler ink. Cut out with the coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die using the Big Shot. Score 15 of each ornament in half from top to bottom using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Fold in half along the score line.

Step 2: Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere three of the scored ornaments together. Adhere one half of the first ornament lined up with one half of the next ornament and then do the same with the third ornament. Leave one half of the first and last ornaments un-glued. Repeat the steps until you have created 5 sets of the 3-ornament groupings in each ornament style. Add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the halves of the first and last ornaments in the 3-ornament grouping. Adhere to the back of an un-scored ornament of the same style. Repeat for all 5 sets of each style.

Step 3: Punch a circle from scrap card stock using the 1-3/8” Circle Punch. Place the circle on the Silicone Craft Sheet. Add a line of hot glue around the edge of the circle. Position the necks of the larger Old Olive ornaments, flat side down, evenly around the circle. Press into the hot glue. Use the Bone Folder to avoid burning yourself.
Nest the smaller ornaments with the larger ornaments.

To finish up, add Tulle Ribbon and linen thread, and create a rosette to add to the center of the ornament with the clear button using hot glue. Punch a hole for ribbon at the top. Optional: Add Dazzling Details Stampin’ Glitter or Champaign Shimmer Mist to add sparkle to the finished ornament.

    Hi Stampers,

I'm today I'm sharing the last RMHC card from September Stamp Camp. This month I decided to highlight the Ronald McDonald House Stamp Set – Moving Forward (See It Online: Clear Mount / Wood Mount).

I love this set – it's great for kids cards but also fun to dress up for a more adult card. All the cards for this stamp camp were inspired by cards that were shared in Stampin' Success – a demonstrator only magazine and a GREAT perk of being a demonstrator!!
