  • Hi Stampers,

Long time no talk!!! I always take a bit of a break at the Holidays time to focus on family and not on my blogging – but this year's break was just a little longer than planned!!! And I've missed you all :). I caught that wonderful flu bug that's been going around right over Christmas and it just didn't want to let go of me and let me get better – I was even feeling too bad to stamp – and I know I'm sick when I don't want to stamp 🙂 But thankfully I'm finally feeling better so hopefully things will get back to normal!!!

I had a list of Thank You cards that needed to go out for Christmas Gifts and I was starting to feel very bad that I was letting too much time pass before getting them sent out – so when I got my January Paper Pumpkin in the mail it came to the rescue!!!! I used the kit to make up some fast Thank You cards – so even with not feeling too great I was able to put together a handmade Thank You easily!!

    PaperPumpkinAlt

These are the two cards I made – The Paper Pumpkin kit came with everything to put the cards together. This month's kit had a love theme for the stamps – so I just pulled out my Petite Pairs stamp set and used the Thank You stamp from it in place of the Love…

Here's the stamps that were included in the kit

    JanPaperPumpkin

We got the stamps, a Stampin' Spot in Basic Gray, and a gift of In Color Botique Details to play with on some future projects!!

Here's a little closer look at the two cards I made – it took me just about 20 minuts to get all the Thank You Cards made and ready to go!!

    PaperPumpkinAlt1

    PaperPumpkinAlt2

I've seen a sneak peek of the Paper Pumpkin kits that'll be coming in the next few months and WOW!!!! I'm excited about them – they're going to be bigger and better than ever – so If you want to get in on the Monthly Fun it's a great time to sign up. E-mail me with any questions and then visit the Paper Pumpkin site to get started. (Click Here)

If you sign up by February 10th you'll receive a free set of 2012-14 In Color Stampin' Write Markers in your first Starter kit – that's a GREAT deal!! 🙂

  • Hi Stampers,

I love this time of year – lots of fun reasons to spread a little Christmas Cheer!! If I can have a little Buddy the Elf moment "The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear" – but homemade yummies is a pretty good second in my book 🙂

My Stamp Campers will know I talk about my Produce coop a lot!!! 🙂 Today was our last delivery for the year – so of course I had to make a little something up to say THANKS to everyone for a great year!

    IMG_9913

We've been busy making up trays of this YUMMY White Chocolate Cranberry Chex Mix

    IMG_9960

Doesn't that look good!!! If not – trust me – it's my picture taking stills 🙂 The recipe is at the bottom so keep reading for that! 🙂

I had one of the Goodie Gear Kits on hand (See it Online) so I grabbed that. I wanted the bags to be a bit bigger than the ones in the kits – so I swapped them out for come Medium Cello Bags. I use the smaller ones later! 🙂 he kit made it easy – it went together super fast!!

I LOVE the Spreading a Little Christmas Cheer Greeting in the Christmas Tagables photopolymer set (See it Online) so I used that to stamp the banners in the kits.

I needed more baggies than I had tags in my Goodie Gear Kit – but I did have extra stickers in the kit – so I pulled out my Banner Framelits – cut some more Banners and then I pulled out one of my new tag Punches (This is coming out in the Occasions Catalog in January and you guys are going to FLIP!!!!! I love being a demo and getting things early!!!)

    IMG_9916

I stamped these in Gumball Green and used White Baker's Twine – then added a touch of color to the top with some Red twist ties.

    IMG_9925

    Here's the recipe I promised you…

White Chocolate Cranberry Chex Mix (from Mom Spark).

    Ingredients:

4 cups of Chex Vanilla Cereal (Or Rice Chex if you want it a little less sweet)
    1 cup white chocolate chips
    1/2 cup dried cranberries
    1 tbsp powdered sugar

    Directions:

    1. Pour Chex Cereal into a large bowl.
    2. Microwave white chocolate chips for 30 seconds, stir, then repeat another 30 seconds until fully melted. (repeat if necessary, but keep in mind that  white chocolate burns very easily)
    3. Pour melted white chocolate into the bowl of cereal. Gently mix the white chocolate with the cereal, being careful not to break the cereal.
    4. Add mixture into a gallon plastic bag, then add powdered sugar.
    5. Seal bag, then shake until the powdered sugar is evenly distributed.
    6. Add cranberries to the bag and shake again gently to mix.
    7. Pour mix onto a sheet of wax paper to fully cool. Store in an airtight container.

  • Hi Stampers,

I’m totally Psyched to see the Psych Musical on TV tonight (lol) and I get to enjoy the two hours of TV guilt free because I already Finished and mailed this year’s Christmas Cards!! So excited that I’m early with that project this year!!! 🙂 I usually procrastinate and stress until the last possible moment on getting my cards finished!!

I had a several different Christmas Cards this year that I sent out – I played around a bit here and there with different stamp sets – but the card that was my “official card” the one I sent to the majority of people on my Christmas List was my Santa’s List card. I saw this card idea on Pinterest – created by Dawn Olchefske and I fell in LOVE!! 🙂 Thanks Dawn!!!

Only problem was – I don’t own the Santa’s List stamp set yet!!! and I didn’t really want to wait for the set to come in – so My Digital Studio to the rescue!!

    IMG_9865

I loved making a MDS Hybrid card for Christmas – it made the cards go together so quickly!!

I downloaded the Santa’s List Digital Stamp (See it Online Here). I created a layout in My Digital Studio with Santa, a greeting and a little Digital DSP at the bottom to create a look similar to the original card I loved!

Then I tiled the layouts so they would print 4 to a page – printed them out onto Whisper White card stock and cut them down to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and mounted them to a folded Whisper White card.

I added a strip of Basic Black card stock to create Santa’s Belt. For my Belt Buckle I used the Champaign Glimmer paper – and another square of Basic Black in the center of that to finish off Santa’s Belt.

There cards were so quick to make!!

  • Hi Stampers,

Tonight was my annual Christmas Party for my Create, Ink Stampin’ Up! Team. It’s always SO much fun to get together and just chit chat and enjoy eachother’s company – but of course we can’t get together without doing at least a quick crafty project.

This is the Make ‘n Take I brought for everyone to do.

    IMG_9827

The Washi Tape Star ornaments are SO CUTE and could not be any easier!! Here’s a quick how to for you:

    • Choose a metal cookie cutter (We used a star but this would work great with a Candy cane, Christmas Tree, or even just a circle or square! – sky’s the limit)
    • Pick out a Washi Tape (I used Season of Style for this ornament – see it online here)
    • Wrap the Washi Tape around the ornament. I lined my seam up with the seam on the cookie cutter.
    • Tie Linen Thread around the top of the ornament – knot it tight to the ornament top.
    • Thread ribbon under the Linen Thread and Tie a Bow. (I used Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon for this ornament.)
    • Stamp a Greeting about 1″ from the left edge onto a thin strip of Whisper White card stock and cut the end to be a banner shape. Fold over the left side of the paper – place adhesive onto the tap and wrap it around the Linen thread to attach the banner. We used Endless Wishes stamp set for our Greetings (it’s sold out but you can Buy the Digital Studio version online here).
    • Tie a knot in the top of the Linen Thread to finish off the hanger

    That’s it SUPER easy!!

I also had my Epic Day Washi Tape – the gray stipe works well for a red and silver Christmas Combo…

    IMG_9850

    IMG_9853

Be sure to come back tomorrow – I’ll be sharing my Christmas card for this year (yes I actually have them done and in the mail early this year!!!)

  • Hi Stampers,

Every year my last Stamp Camp of the year for my Inkredible Stampers Club is an ornament buffet! Our projects for this stamp camp are always fun simple Ornaments / Bag Tags – small gift ideas – or Gift Card Holders!! 🙂

Today I'm going to share two of the projects with you…

First up is the most adorable (even if I am saying so myself) Snowman Bag Tag / Ornament ever!!! One of the projects for the Winter Edition of Create with Conniae and Mary was a Snowman Favor Box and as soon as I saw it I had to turn it into an ornament!! (BTW even if you missed out on the Winter Edition while it was going on you can still buy it and have access to all the tutorials that were shared!! just check out their blog for details)

    Ok so here he is…

    IMG_9514-copy

The snowman is made from the Envelope Liner Framelits!! Connie had the most fabulous 3D nose on her snowman – and I used her idea… but I also wanted to give my stamp campers an easier option (just in case – I know my stamp campers well!!) 🙂 so here's the other nose option…

    IMG_9508

The other ornament we made is the Angel made from the Gift Bow Die (if you're on Pinterest you've seen just a couple 🙂 of versions of this sweet ornament)

    IMG_9502

I used a blue theme for my version of this ornament – to keep this year's ornaments coordinating! 🙂 If you come to my stamp camps you know that everyone gets an instruction sheet for each project and guess what?!?! Today I'm going to share the instruction sheet for this project with ALL of you!!

Download the Instruction Sheet for the Gift Bow Die Angel: Download

Do you create hand made ornaments for your tree??? Leave a comment and tell me what your favorite homemade ornament is!!

  • Hi Stampers,

Some of you will remember that last year I did a Favorite Things Gift Exchange for my team's Christmas Party! It was SOOOOO much fun that we decided to make it a tradition and do it again this year!

I created a fun but simple invite for the party that I send out to all my Create, Ink! team members!

    Favorite-Things-Invite

This card was inspired from an idea I saw on the Stampin' Up Blog. I put several fun Fonts together in My Digital Studio to create the tag (same one I used last year – just a bit smaller) Then I cut them out.

The Stamps come from the Stamp a Tag kit (see it online) and the Christmas Messages set (see it online).

Here's a more traditional Christmas Card featuring the same layout..

    IMG_9538

After our Team Christmas Gift Exchange I'll be sharing some pictures over on Facebook of all the fun wrapping and gifts – so if you don't already – hop over to Facebook and Follow my page so you don't miss out!
