  • Look Whoo’s One!

    Hi Stampers,

    One of my bffs Baby Girl is turning One next month and I was excited to be asked to help her design an invitation for the Birthday Party. And she wanted to go with an owl theme!! (If you can't tell I love owls… just a little) 🙂

    We used My Digital Studio to create the invitation.

    We started with only the cutest picture ever and I played around a bit with some options. It's so easy to change up the shape and size of pictures and items in MDS so it was a quick way to design and send her different ideas.

  • A Day of Spiral Binding….

    Hi Stampers!!

    The 2014-15 Stampin' Up! catalogs are in the house!!! 🙂

    I love getting the new Idea Book and this year's catalog is packed FULL of fun very very CASEable project and inspiration. (CASE=Copy and Share Everything) but I years ago I decided I needed to make one small alteration to my catalog to make it easier to use. I spiral bind it – it's makes it so nice and easy to lay the book on my work table open to the idea that I'm trying to duplicate or alter!

    And it's become a tradition for me to offer my Spiral Binding services to all of you as well!!!! So I spend all day yesterday working on Spiral Binding the catalogs to get them ready to head out!!

  • Red Carpet Stamping

    Hi Stampers,

    Yesterday for the very first time ever Stampin' Up! unveiled the new catalog to demonstrators in true Red Carpet Style on the Big Screen!!

    Before I tell you more – I have to give a big HI!!! out to all the local demonstrators who stopped me to say Hi and let me know they read my blog!! Hi back and THANKS for saying Hi to me – I LOVE meeting my blog readers!!

    Ok back to the event… We got to go to the Regal Mills theater and watch a live broadcast from Stampin' Up! They gave us our first look at the catalog and of course did some stamping on stage to inspire us to start creating with the new products. At the end of the night they sent us home with our very own copy of the new 2014 Catalog and one of the new Stamp Sets!!

    ***SPOILER ALERT***

    You're going to LOVE IT!!!! Get your wish lists ready 🙂 the layout this year is fabulous – the projects are inspirational – and the new in colors are Gorgeous!!

    So you're wondering what this has to do with the cute box in the picture above?? Of course (since I find any excuse I can to create) I had to make a small gift for each of my Create, Ink! team members who were at the event with me!

    I saw this fun box on the Pootles blog and it was perfect to hold my goodies. Inside each box I put two of my New Catalog Essentials!! Highlighter tape to make the items I already own (because it's easy to get carried away when you see things in the new catalog and forget you already own it and don't need to order it again) and Page Flage to mark the things I want!!! Of course I usually mark every other page – so I'm not sure how much those page flags help 🙂 but I can't live without 'em!!

    It's also a tradition I started years ago to give my team members a charm for each event they attend – So for this event I found these cute Admit One Ticket Charms

  • Quick and Easy Happy Watercolor

    Hi Stampers,

    Here's a look at some of the projects I've been sharing in this month's workshops! 

    One of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog is the Happy Watercolor set. I love that with a few quick stamps you get a look of watercolor painted images!

    The tag was one of the make 'n takes that also featured the Perfect Pennant and Petite Petals stamp sets. We used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch for the top of the tag and tied a bit of Cruched Curry Chevron ribbon onto the top of the tag.

    You-Make-Me-Happy-Card

    The other make 'n take is all Happy Watercolor. The card is Sahara Sand with Coastal Cabana and Basic Black stamping. We wrapped a little natural trim around the card and tied it off with some Gold Baker's Twine! And for just a little touch of sparkle I dotted some Dazzling Details in the center of each flower.

  • Yippee-Skippee! It’s Easter Weekend

    Hi Stampers,

    Happy Easter Weekend!! I hope you all enjoy the holiday and spending time with your families!

    Last month at Stamp Camp one of the projects we made was the little Easter Chick cutie!!

    I fell in LOVE with this little guy when I saw him on Pinterest – I'm not sure who the idea originated with but it's too cute!!! So thanks for the inspiration!!

    He's sized perfectly to hold a Ghirardelli Chocolate or even wrap around a chocolate bar!

    Here's how to make him:

    1. Cut a piece of So Saffron card stock 5-1/2" x 2". Score at 2-5/8" and 2-7/8".
    2. Punch each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
    3. Punch out a Scallop Circle from So Saffron card stock. Cut it in half.
    4. Sponge the edges of the so Saffron card stock pieces with a Daffodil Delight or Pumpkin Pie ink.
    5. Attach the half circles to the body of the chick for your wings.
    6. Add Google Eyes and a Pumpkin Pie triangle to create the face. (I used the tip of the Pennant Punch to get my triangle)
    7. Decorate however you want. I used a Whisper White Banner stamped with the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set.
    8. Slide in your Chocolate and tie the top through the punched holes with some Whisper White grosgrain.
