With all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it can be easy to lose sight of the true spirit of Christmas. Imagine finding a quiet corner to sit with a warm cup of cocoa and watching the snow gently fall. Take some time for yourself this holiday season to sit and reflect on the reason for the season. This mini album full of scripture or peaceful holiday reflections will be your perfect companion and is a beautiful way to share the Christmas spirit with others.

  • Hi Stampers,

I love the fall and the changing leaves – and even though we've already had some snow this season – I still wanted to share this card with you from last month's stamp camp.

I wasn't really sure about the Seasonally Scattered stamp set when I first saw it – I liked the idea of it – but I wasn't sure if I could come up with fun ideas to create with it – but after playing with it a bit – I'm in love!!!

    SeasonallyScatteredFall

For this card we inked up the stamp with Hello Honey ink, then take a sponge dauber and randomly sponge Tangelo Twist onto the stamp – keeping more toward the center of the stamp. Then you stamp your image and get this fabulous multicolored "Thanks"

With a few more embellishments this is a quick Thank You card!

Project 3: Bright and Beautiful Card & Tag

With every generation, there is a newness and wonder that comes along with the holiday season. A sharing of the new with the old – tradition alongside trendy. Maybe it's a high-heeled shoe ornament hanging next to an old Santa from your grandmother's Christmas tree or Aunt June's traditional cranberry recipe set out on the dinner table with your sister-in-law's latest creation from Pinterest. Something as simple as changing up the color palate can add freshness to tradition, as you'll see with this Bright and Beautiful Star Greeting Card and Tag Ornament project.

  • Hi Stampers,

At my October get together for my Create Ink Stampers one of our Stampin' friends Theresa shared this fun idea with us – and I loved it so much I created my own version for Stamp camp.

    GratefulBagBox

This fun little Bag / Box is so cute and is sized perfectly for a small treat. How cute woudl these be as table favors on Your Thanksgiving table?? Thanks Theresa!!!

The box is pretty easy to create:

    • Start with a piece of Designer Series Paper 8" x 4"
    • Score 1" from each long edge
    • Score 3-1/4" from the top and bottom (short edges)
    • Fold the 1" flaps in
    • Pinch the corners as you fold the sides up along the score lines
    • Use a little adhesive at the top of the 1" flaps to hold them down
    • Punch a hole in the top of the bag and tie closed

  • Hi Stampers,

When I was hopping around on Pinterest I saw just about the cutest ever Thanksgiving card idea from Aly Stamps. The card featured a Punch Art Turkey with the "Hope Your Thanksgiving is Stuffed with Happiness" greeting from Mingle All The Way Stamp Set.

That set is on my wish list – but I don't have it yet – but I had JUST received my October Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail – which had a stamp in it that worked ALMOST as well…. So I was super excited to create this card!

    PaperPumpkinTurkeyDay

The Turkey is punched from Soft Suede card stock and sponged with Cajun Craze and the Roasting Pan is punched from Cajun Craze card stock.

I'm already anxiously awaiting my November Paper Pumpkin kit – which will be showing up in my mailbox any day now!! Want to know more about Paper Pumpkin?? Read all about it here.

    Project 1: Wonderful Wreath Card

There's no place like home for the holidays – frosted window panes gently reflecting in the soft glow of twinkling Christmas lights. A festive wreath hung on the door. Children pressing their noses up against the chilly glass to get a peek at the falling snow. This Wonderful Wreath card bundles up all of those cozy holiday feelings in an envelope and warms those who open it with your holiday wishes.

  • Hi Stampers,

The past month I've been very busy getting ready for my favorite class of the year – The Christmas Card Class and Hot Chocolate Bar!! The class was last Saturday – and it was a FABULOUS time!!! This year the class was on my Birthday, which made it extra special – and I even had a room full of 40 people singing Happy Birthday to me at the end of the evening!! How many people get to say that??? I have the BEST Stampin' Team and Customers!!

One of the projects I created to decorate the Hot Chocolate Bar table is this Trio of Christmas Trees

    Christmas-Tree-Cones

I was inspired by the tree in the Holiday Catalog that was created with the Stampin' Up! Tree punch – so I started with that idea.

The Largest Tree – is created with Pear Pizzaz card stock punched with the Tree Punch. Lots and lots of them – but it went faster than you would think. They're attached to the cone with pins in a very uniform fashion! I topped the tree in my favorite way – I LOVE a bow topped Christmas Tree – so I used Lost Lagoon Taffeta Ribbon and pinned it onto the top of the tree.

The Middle tree – is created by wrapping and pinning ribbon around a cone. I had some retired Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding ribbon – so that's what I used (it fit in my this year's color theme and I'm a bit fanatical about fitting in with my color themes) I accented the tree with sequence from Frosted Sequence to add a little sparkle to the tree. If you don't have the retired ribbon the tree would look FABULOUS done in Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin ribbon – or even the Pear Pizzazz Chevron ribbon.

The Small tree – I punched a bunch of circles from Pear Pizzazz All is Calm Designer Series Paper. I attached them to the smallest cone with pins that were threaded with gold sequence from Gold Sequence trim.

I have several pictures from the event posted over on my Facebook Page and I'll be sharing a few more pictures with you in future blog posts!

If you would like to purchase any of the Stampin Up! products that I used to create this fun Christmas Tree Trio just click on the products below to go to my online store (I added the Mossy Meadow ribbon to my supply list since the Pear Pizzazz one is retired and I think this trio would look fabulous with the varaition in greens) :
