    Project 12: Christmas Bauble

Tiny lights twinkling from the branches of the Christmas tree. A soft glow is cast over the carefully hung ornaments – each one a reminder of home. Collected over the years … store bought and handmade … there is a story for each one. Memories hung on the tree in the form of ornaments, from the newest to the most treasured, they are so much more than decorations. This elegant Christmas Bauble ornament is a timeless classic and perfect to send your holiday wishes for many more wonderful memories to come.

    Project 11: Chocolate Treats

      image from www.craftyperson.com

The holidays are … candy canes from a visit with Santa … marshmallows in hot cocoa … Christmas cookies with sprinkles. Some of our most special holiday memories are wrapped up in a small gesture at just the right time, like a little gift of yummies to say "I'm thinking of you". Sweeten someone's holiday with a thoughtful gesture of your own and this adorable chocolate treat holder.

As an alternative, this layout could be used on a note book to keep track of your Christmas shopping list. My favorite journals to work with are the Kraft Grid journals (#135719). They are affordable and just the right size to fit in your purse!

  • Hi Stampers,

Next weekend my Stampin' Up! team will be having our Annual Favorite Things Gift Exchange – it's a fun end of year party tradition I started with them a few years ago – and we REALLY look forward to it each year now!!

It's a great way for us to get to know a little more about each other – and find a few new "Favorite Things". If you've never been to a Favorite Things Party it's really fun – here's how our party it working this year. Everyone picks our one of their favorite things that cost around $10. Buy 3 of that Favorite thing – Wrap it up (of course with a Stampin' Up! flair) and then at the party we draw names to see who's favorite things you get. I've learned a lot about my Create Ink Stampers through the gift exchange – and found a few new favorite things I can't live without now 🙂

So I'm busy this weekend doing my wrapping for next weekend's party – So I can't show you that yet – but I do have the Invitations that I sent out to my team members.

    Favoritethings

In previous years I used a traditional Red and Green color scheme – this year I wanted to go with something a little different. So I took inspiration from the Favorite Things Song – specifically the lyrics about Snowflakes and Silver White Winters 🙂 because Winter is one of my favorite things… and this is what I came up with.

    FavoriteThings2
I printed out the greeting on Whisper White card stock. Next I stamped some snowflakes in Smoky Slate, Wisteria Wonder, and Lost Lagoon using Endless Wishes stamp set. I used the Frosted Sequence to add the silver shine to the snowflakes, then added a little Basic Gray Baker's Twine. Elegant, Quick, and Easy!

Project 10: Santa Stache Photo Prop Cards

      image from www.craftyperson.com

Rosy cheeks … twinkling eyes … a belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly … but what about Santa's mustache? Sure, people talk about the beard, but what about the mustache? Well, since the mustache is all the rage now, Santa's 'stache is finally getting some recognition. Share some of the fun with this "interactive" Santa Stache card … you just might end up with a 'stache of your own!

This fun set is also perfect for dressing up a simple gift bag, creating an extra special gift. Use one of the Tag Topper punches to create a tag as tall as you like. The 2" width of these tags is PERFECT for the mustache to hang off the sides a bit. Just stamp Santa or the Nutcracker onto the tag and color your image. Then die cut and add a mustache with Stampin' Diminsionals. For even more interest, try using Designer Series Paper on your tag. Stamp your image onto scrap paper, cut it out, and add it to the tag. Then add your mustache!

  • Hi Stampers,

Last night I was at the Great Escape Theater in Fenton enjoying Stampin' Up!'s Kick Off event for the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochures on the Big Screen!!

To all my STL area Blog readers who recognized me and said HI – Thanks so much!!!! I LOVE getting to meet blog readers in person!! And everyone who was over at Steak 'n Shake drooling over the new catalogs along with me – thanks for a FUN after party!!! 🙂

This is the second Big Screen catalog reveal from Stampin' Up! (the First was for the Big Catalog last Spring) – I LOVE getting to go watch a sneak peek of the new things coming out – get lots of ideas – and get excited about the new stamp sets!!

If you follow me on Facebook I posted a few photos last night of the catalog covers – so go take a peek – it'll give you a little taste of what you might find inside 🙂

So of course as with any Stampin' Up! event – I had to make up some goodies for my team members that attended as well!!

A new catalog always requires a little chocolate – they just go together.

    Candy-Bar

So fist up I decorated some Cookies & Cream Santa Hershey's Bars – so quick and easy – you just wrap a little Designer Series Paper arond the candy – tie a little ribbon – and add a greeting. I made up several of these to hand out to my team members – our other demo friends – and pretty much anyone else sitting around us 🙂

I used paper from Trim the Tree DSP Paper Stack, Real Red Satin Woven Ribbon, and Real Red ink on my candy bars.

I kinda went with a Santa Theme for my team's gifts – even though we're kicking off the Spring catalog – The event was JUST in time for us to add some pre-order wants to our Holiday Gifts Wish List…

So for my team members I made up little catalog survival kits complete with a Wish List, Pen, Catalog Tabs, and a charm for them to add to their Italian Charm – SU Event Bracelets…

    KickOffGift

The Wish list is a Jr. Legal Pad cut in half – I had my local office supply store do it for me! Then I added a little Christmas Tree Paper to the top of the note pad to cover the binding.

Add a little DSP rolled up inside a RSVP pen and you've got a great set!!

    ChristmasNotePad

I also used the Trim the Tree Paper Stack for these – but I tried to pick papers that were not TOOOO Christmasey – so they can keep using them with their catalogs after the Holidays are over…

It was a FUN night – and you guys are going to LOVE the Sale-a-bration items this year!! If Santa has not finished shopping for you this year – ask him to bring you a Stampin' Up! Gift Certificate. Just have him e-mail me. Payment can be made through PayPal, I'll send hime a certificate to wrap up, and then you can shop after the Holidays when the new catalogs start!!
