Hi Stampers,

Stampin' Up!'s annual convention will be kicking off tonight w/a fun party! I didn't get to go this year – a little bummed!! – BUT some of my team members are there – so I'll get to keep up with some of the fun through them!

Of course every year – even if I can't go – I give my convention goers a small gift for taking the time out to go lean at convention!

I usually do a bag tag of some sort – there's lots of the same bags walking around at the convention center and it's nice to have something different on your bag!

I wanted to play around with something new – so I tested it out on my initial first so if it didn't come out good – I could come up with a different plan for them – but I think it's pretty fun for a first try at it! I played with some Zentangle doodling. Zentangle is basically just repeating the same thing over and over to get a fun doodled pattern – that's a simple explination – it's a beautiful art form when you learn it!!

I found some fun acrylic scissor charms – they were all silver and I wanted a bit of color to the handles so I used the Blendabilities to color the tops.

Next for the clear acrylic initials I used Sharpie Markers to doodle on one side of the letter – and then a Real Red Blendability to color in the other side (you can't color on the same side – blendabilities will erase sharpie) – it was a little challenging to use this technique on these letters – they were thick so as you turn the letter the coloring moves and is no longer staying in the lines – in the future I think I woudl use a thinner letter if possible.

Each Letter and Scissors are attached to a chain keychain I created with several chains and hooks – AND I included a black acrylic letter on the outside of their gifts so they can change up their letter on the bag tag if they want – just clip one off and clip the other on!!

I used the Chevron Tag a Bag Gift Bags to wrap each bag tag in. I Tucked a little note inside each bag – stamped a greeting and tied it all up!

I did each letter a little different – using different zentangle patterns - I tried coloring on all red w/black filled in instead of doing a clear / red pattern – I like them all!

It was a fast and fun gift to create!

If you want to learn more about what you can do with Blendabilities – come to stamp camp at the end of the month – we'll be playing with them at the July Stamp Camp. E-mail me for details!
