Earlier in the week I said I would be posting the team swaps from our meeting this month – They are up now and you can check out the Occasions Mini Swaps in the Team Swaps Photo Album. We’re growing in numbers so that means more swap cards! Of course it also means we’re quickly outgrowing the Pizza Hut in Eureka – we may need to find a new place to meet soon.

We also had one more make ‘n take from the meeting – Sue shared with us a technique for adding color to our Cuttlebug Embossing. It’s a very fun technique and super simple – You just roll ink onto the cuttlebug embossing folder using a brayer. Then place your card stock in the folder and emboss as normal. You’ll get a great look…

My favorite part of this card though was the Something New I learned!! My team members always give me a hard time – because they can never seem to come up with a technique or idea that I have not done or at least heard of before.
Julie10 I always tell them it’s ok … I still get tips from them or see a new way of using a technique – and really I just LOVE making cards with them at the meetings, but Sue managed to show me something I’ve never done or seen before. (I don’t know where I’ve been or what rock I’ve been hiding under – Probably people have been doing this forever) but I LOVE the idea of bringing the knot of the ribbon to the top of the image by punching with the slot punch. It’s my New favorite technique EVER!! Thanks Sue!! I think we need an "I know something Julie doesn’t know" button for you!! 🙂 If this technique is new to you too try it out on a card – I guarantee you’ll love the results!!

If you want to learn more about embossing with color using your cuttlebug. Drop me an e-mail and I’ll add your name to a list to be notified when I’m teaching the technique, until next time…

Hi, that card looks exactly like mine…LOL, so maybe Sue got the idea from me back in March.

Your card looks really great, and the video for the Cuttlebug Ink Embossing is 2 days later 🙂
