Inkredible Stamping

Last night was the monthly get together for my Create, Ink team – this month I had one of the make ‘n takes. I decided to demo coloring the new Stampin’ Up! Flower Ribbon Slides, from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware kit. It’s a very fun technique. Here’s the card we made…

We used the Phrases For A Friend stamp set (The set I won FREE at Regionals in Tulsa!! Yeah!) for the greetings.

Here’s a close up look at the colored ribbon slide. You can color your slides any color you want to coordinate with your projects. Here’s how:

1. Squeeze a little Crystal Effects in a plastic lid or on some wax paper.
2. Drop 1-2 drops of reinker into the Crystal Effects
3. Stir in the reinker with a toothpick.
4. Use the toothpick to drop the Colored Crystal effects into the ribbon slide.
5. Let it dry and then you’re ready to go!

You can also try adding a little sparkle to your ribbon slides by dropping uncolored Crystal Effects into the slide and then sprinkling with one of our pretty colored glitters – The new Chunky Glitters look great on this technique!
