For all of you who have been concerned about my hand (Thanks to everyone who have been so generous with all your offers of help and kind thoughts about my hurting hand) I have Good news!! 🙂 The Dr. finally decided that maybe he needed to do more than just tell me to take Advil. The swelling was not going down. So he had me come in and gave me a cortisone shot which will supposedly start making my hand feel better and I should be able to take notes without pain at conventions!!! Very good as that means it’ll be easier to bring home new ideas if I can actually write them down!! 🙂
The bad news though is that I have to wear a brace on my thumb whenever possible for the next month or two, and my hand hurts more then ever after the shot – but it’ll be worth it if I feel better for convention!! It did make finishing swaps a little tedious – I challenge any of you to stamp and color cards with your thumb sticking in the air!! 🙂 It’s FUN!! 🙂 But I did manage to "Drum Roll Please" finish all my swaps today!!! 🙂 YEAH!!! Oh an the Ugly of this message is not the swaps (I Hope!!)… it’s the BIG black and blue bruises at the bottom of my hand from the shot … yikes I hope they go away before my trip .. They just look well.. UGLY! 🙂
So I spent today finishing up the last of my swaps .. which was mostly the CDs for the CD swap. Here’s a look at the cd writing in process. The first stack is waiting to be written, the second waiting for the labels to be printed, and the last stack the finished. 🙂
and here’s the finished product.. I can’t wait to swap at convention!!
I’ll be leaving Tuesday morning – I’m packing right now. But I’ll be posting my swap pictures while I’m gone. Along with lots of fun information from Denver!
