Last Monday at the Art Center meeting we got to play with Polymer Clay. It was tons of fun!! I made this clay pen and I LOVE it! the texture was created with a clay texture plate and then I rubbed Pearl Ex into the indents to make them stand out. Of course when I got home my brain started running wild! I started thinking of all the fabulous background stamps I have, and I’m thinking I can use them to press designs into clay to make more pens! I can’t wait to play with the clay again and try out some of the background stamps to see how that turns out. If you want to make your own pen it’s very simple, there are tons of fun ways to cover a pen with clay. You can use slices from a clay cane, make a marbled look by mixing clays, or impress designs into the clay like I did. You can find detailed instructions for making and baking the pens on Sculpey’s Website.
Also Pam sent me a cute Welcome Spring Pop-Up Card. I put pictures in the Your Creations photo album, so take a look in there before you leave! 🙂
